The Flatness Gauge is supplied with a perfectly flat reference surface. After calibrating the Flatness Gauge to a '0' on the flat surface reference, simply place on the lapping plate. The top quality dial clock will quickly and easily show either Negative (Concave) or Positive (Convex) condition and its degree. On the clock dial each marking represents 0.002mm (2 microns).
