Our Optical Flats are manufactured from Zeordur, a special material with an extremely low coefficient of expansion.

They are available in quarter and tenth lambda accuracy, one or both sides flat.

Optical Flats are used for checking lapped components (measuring light bands) and are used with a Monochromatic Light Unit and a Hand Polishing Stand to ensure a flat lapping plate.

Sizes range from 25mm (1") to 300mm (12") from stock. Other sizes are available on request.

All our Optical Flats are packed in hard plastic cases and foam for extra protection
